Noel Fred McKnight, 93, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rogers. He was born July 30, 1913, in Clinton, Ark., to C. W. McKnight and Martha Crownover McKnight.

He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a master?s degree in agriculture and played on the U of A football team. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U. S. Army. He achieved the rank of sergeant and served with the 50 th Infantry Scout Dog Platoon. He was awarded the American Theater Service Medal, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He taught agriculture at Valley Springs (Ark. ) High School and Harrison (Ark. ) High School and was director of the Farmers Home Administration in Logan County, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth McKnight, on Oct. 21, 1996.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William D. McKnight and Connie McKnight of Rogers; two brothers, Robert McKnight and Elbert McKnight, both of Clinton, Ark; four sisters, Erma Steel of Sallisaw, Okla., May Ferguson and Betty Bradford, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Fairie Stephens of Clinton; and four grandchildren, Charles F. McKnight, Loren W. McKnight, Cline W. McKnight and Leah E. McKnight.

Visitation will be from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Rowell, Pastor Wes George, the Rev. Tommy Hinson and the Rev. Jonathan Reichman.
Burial will be at the Nanny Cemetery in Yellville, Ark.

Memorials may be made to Fulfilling the Mission, in care of First Baptist Church, 626 W. Olive St., Rogers, AR 72756.

Survivors include four sons, James Crownover of Elms Springs, Bill Crownover of Muldrow, Okla., Randal Crownover of North Little Rock, and Byron Crownover of Morrilton; two daughters, Ginger Spendley of Somersworth, N.H., and Linda Crownover of Branson, Mo; one brother, Carl Crownover of Brooklyn, N.Y; two sisters, Stella Mae Sample of Clinton and Jeannette Maddox of North Little Rock; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at Quattlebaum Cemetery. A mem-orial with Masonic rites will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Clinton First Baptist Church with Bill Saxby officiating.

Memorials may be made to Clinton First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Joel Crownover, Brian Crownover, Andrew Crownover, Daniel Eldridge, Steven Huffman, and Chris Church.

Funeral services were Friday at First Baptist Church of Clinton at 2 p.m. with interment at Quattlebaum Cemetery, Bill Saxby and R.A. Bone officiating. Arrangements were by Roller McNutt of Clinton.
