Mrs. Julia Anne CONOVER, 81, died Wednesday at her home in Fairmount. Born April 6, 1864, Mrs. CONOVER was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth JACQUISH. Her husband, Elias CONOVER, died 37 years ago.
She leaves five daughters and three sons. They include Barzilla CONOVER and Mrs. Frank VORHEES of Lebanon; Mrs. Ryman BURD of Far Hills; Mrs. Edward PHILHOWER of Long Valley; Mrs. Walter LUCAS of Fairmount; Mrs. Robert BLAZER of Peapack-Gladstone; Raymond CONOVER of Lamington; and Clarence CONOVER of Califon. Two sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Sarah ALPAUGH Lebanon, Mrs. Blanche APGAR of Oldwick and Isaiah JACQUISH of Fairmount.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Member of the Fairmount Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Women's Society for Christian Service of that church.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Fairmount Methodist Church, under the direction of Coughlin Funeral Service, Califon and Oldwick. Rev. Charles GILLESPIE officiated. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery. Grandsons served as bearers.
