Hannah Shepherd was born circa 1800. She was the daughter of Moses Shepherd. Hannah married James R. Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid. Hannah Shepherd died in 1844; age 44.

      Charles Conover was born in 1825. He was the son of James R. Conover and Hannah Shepherd. Charles married Beulah Cowdrick in 1842.

      Mary Platt was born on Oct 28, 1811. She was the daughter of George Platt and Lydia Longstreet. Mary married Samuel Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid, on Jan 23, 1830. Mary Platt died on Jan 26, 1837 at Maplewood, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 25.

     Deborah married William Reid Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid, after Apr 18, 1861; probable.

      Eliza M. (Unknown) was born on Apr 18, 1832; calculated. Eliza married William Reid Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid, after Jun 19, 1857. Eliza M. (Unknown) died on Apr 8, 1861 at age 28.

      Sinichy Conover was born in 1807. She was the daughter of David Conover and Esther (Unknown). Sinichy married Aaron Reid Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid. Sinichy Conover died in 1839. Sinichy was buried at Freehold Baptist Church, Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
     She was also known as Francythye Conover.

      Mary P. Conover was born in 1839. She was the daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover. Mary married James Rogers. Mary P. Conover died in 1858.

     Esther Conover was the daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover. Esther married William Miller.

     William married Esther Conover, daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover.

      Hannah Conover was born in 1828. She was the daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover. Hannah married Ozias N. Miller in 1852.

      Ozias N. Miller was born in 1818 at North Salem, Westchester County, New York. Ozias married Hannah Conover, daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover, in 1852. Ozias was buried on Oct 31, 1883 at Asbury Park, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
     

Ozias N. Miller, the earliest MILLER member of this family of whom we have any information as being connected with New Jersey and its history, was born in North Salem, Westchester county, New York, in 1818, and died in Asbury Park, Monmouth county, New Jersey, October 31, 1883. Until 1854 he was engaged in the produce business in New York City, but that year leasing the Peter Drummond farm of two hundred and ninety-six acres in Deal, Monmouth county, New Jersey, he settled there. In 1880 he went to reside in Asbury Park and retired from active life. For many years he was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church at that place, and at one time a member of the First Church at Long Branch. He married Hannah, daughter of Aaron and Francythye (Conover) Conover (see Conover). Children : 1. Albert Orrin, married Estelle Blauvelt ; children : Frederick Blauvelt and Albert Conover. 2. Frank Mortimer, referred to below. 3. Carrie Wild, married Professor Nelson Haas. 4. Taulman Allaire, referred to below. 5. Esther Conover.
(II) Frank Mortimer, son of Ozias N. and Hannah (Conover) Miller, was born in Deal, New Jersey, July 17, 1859, and is now living in Asbury Park, New Jersey. After receiving a public school education he became a clerk in a hardware and grocery store in Long Branch, and then obtained a position in the New York postoffice, which he retained for two years. He then returned to Asbury Park and became a bookkeeper in the Asbury Park and Ocean Grove Bank in 19oo; was placed in charge of the branch of the same institution in Ocean Grove; was made assistant cashier in 1906. In politics Mr. Miller is a Republican, and for sixteen years he has been steward and treasurer of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Asbury Park. He is unmarried.

(II) Taulman Allaire, son of Ozias and 'Hannah (Conover) Miller, was born in Deal, New Jersey, March 19, 1869. After receiving a good public school education he secured a position in 1886 in the First National Bank of Asbury Park, and in i9oo became the cashier of the Ocean Grove National Bank. He is a Republican, and a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Asbury Park. He married, October 5, 1898, Edith May, daughter of Cornelius and Mary A. (Cooley) Finch, who was born at Jamesburg, New Jersey, June 26, 1876. No children. Children of Cornelius and Mary A. (Cooley) Finch: 1. Edith, May, referred to above. 2. Cora, married Kenneth W. Towner ; child, Reginald F. Towner. 3. Julia E., married Daniel C. Cor-nell; child, Edith M. Cornell.

      Sophia Conover was born in 1834. She was the daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover. Sophia married George Van Arsdalen. Sophia Conover died in 1913.

     George married Sophia Conover, daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover.

     Ida Conover was the daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover.

     James married Mary P. Conover, daughter of Aaron Reid Conover and Sinichy Conover.

     Susan married Richard Conover, son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid, on Mar 18, 1854.

      Gilbert Conover was born in 1856. He was the son of Richard Conover and Susan Van Note.

     Susie Conover was the daughter of Richard Conover and Susan Van Note.

      Mary Conover was born in 1868. She was the daughter of Richard Conover and Susan Van Note.

     Sarah Conover was baptized on Oct 9, 1796 at Old Tennent Church, Tennent, Monmouth County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid.

     Joseph Conover was baptized on May 20, 1798 at Old Tennent Church, Tennent, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was the son of Richard Conover and Hannah Reid.

      George Platt was born circa 1785 at New Jersey. George married Lydia Longstreet.

      George Platt Conover was born on Aug 17, 1833. He was the son of Samuel Conover and Mary Platt. George married Amy Birdsall, daughter of Judge Jacob Birdsall and Rhoda Brown, on Dec 18, 1856. George Platt Conover died on May 10, 1912 at Florida at age 78.

      Amy Birdsall was born on May 7, 1835. She was the daughter of Judge Jacob Birdsall and Rhoda Brown. Amy married George Platt Conover, son of Samuel Conover and Mary Platt, on Dec 18, 1856. Amy Birdsall died on Dec 24, 1904 at Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, at age 69.

     Jacob married Rhoda Brown.

     Rhoda married Judge Jacob Birdsall.

      Samuel Conover was born on Feb 19, 1860. He was the son of George Platt Conover and Amy Birdsall. Samuel Conover died on Jun 23, 1921 at age 61; did not marry.

      Hershel Birdsall Conover was born on Mar 20, 1863 at New Jersey. He was the son of George Platt Conover and Amy Birdsall. Hershel married Sarah Rogers Grant, daughter of Caleb Grant and Sarah Jane Jeffrey, on Apr 28, 1896. Hershel Birdsall Conover died on Oct 13, 1942 at New Jersey at age 79. Hershel was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Tom's River, Ocean County, New Jersey.
     In the census on Jun 12, 1900 Hershel Birdsall Conover was named Herschel B. Conover.
In the census on Apr 15, 1910 Hershel Birdsall Conover was named H. B. Conover.

      Sarah Rogers Grant was born on May 21, 1866 at Ocean County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Caleb Grant and Sarah Jane Jeffrey. Sarah married Hershel Birdsall Conover, son of George Platt Conover and Amy Birdsall, on Apr 28, 1896. Sarah Rogers Grant died on Jun 5, 1933 at age 67.
     She was also known as Sallie Grant.

      Jacob Birdsall Conover was born on Apr 21, 1866 at New Jersey. He was the son of George Platt Conover and Amy Birdsall. Jacob married Laura Jackson, daughter of Andrew Jackson and Julia Miller, on Aug 16, 1893.
     In the census on Apr 15, 1910 Jacob Birdsall Conover was named J. Birdsall Conover.

      Laura Jackson was born on Jun 10, 1872 at New York. She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Julia Miller. Laura married Jacob Birdsall Conover, son of George Platt Conover and Amy Birdsall, on Aug 16, 1893.

      Charles Cox Conover was born on Feb 16, 1895 at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He was the son of Jacob Birdsall Conover and Laura Jackson. Charles married Marjorie Gardner circa 1921. Charles Cox Conover died on Aug 14, 2004 at age 109.
