     Naomi married Nicholas Frambes, son of Peter Frambes and Mary Margaretta Hoffman.

      Elsie Collins was born on Aug 27, 1766. Elsie married Abel Scull on Feb 23, 1784. Elsie married Nicholas Frambes, son of Peter Frambes and Mary Margaretta Hoffman. Elsie Collins died on Nov 12, 1833 at age 67.
     She was also known as Alice Collins.

     Abel married Elsie Collins on Feb 23, 1784.

     Eliza married Mark Kears. Eliza married Constantine Adams, son of Jesse Adams and Deborah Ireland, on Sep 12, 1871.

     Mark married Eliza McCullen.

     Lillian C. Adams was the daughter of Constantine Adams and Eliza McCullen. Lillian married Charles L. Smtih.

      Hezekiah Ireland was born in 1737 at Atlantic County, New Jersey. Hezekiah married Mary Dickson in 1761 at Atlantic County, New Jersey.

      Mary Dickson was born in 1742 at Atlantic County, New Jersey. Mary married Hezekiah Ireland in 1761 at Atlantic County, New Jersey.

      John Champion was born on Apr 18, 1786. He was the son of Daniel Champion and Ruhame Ingersol. John married Christiana Conover, daughter of Isaac Conover, on Apr 14, 1813 at Gloucester County, New Jersey. John married Abigail Mason on Mar 21, 1849. John Champion died on Jan 18, 1873 at English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 86.

      Christiana Conover was born on Jun 18, 1787. She was born on Jun 18, 1792. She was the daughter of Isaac Conover. Christiana married John Champion, son of Daniel Champion and Ruhame Ingersol, on Apr 14, 1813 at Gloucester County, New Jersey. Christiana Conover died on Jul 2, 1847 at age 55. Christiana was buried at Asbury Cemetery, English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey.
     She was also known as Christina Conover.

      Edward C. Champion was born on Feb 25, 1821. He was the son of John Champion and Christiana Conover. Edward married Elizabeth Hickman, daughter of Thomas W. Hickman and Mary Endicott, in 1850. Edward C. Champion died on Jun 10, 1900 at English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 79.

      Elizabeth Hickman was born on Jun 24, 1832. She was the daughter of Thomas W. Hickman and Mary Endicott. Elizabeth married Edward C. Champion, son of John Champion and Christiana Conover, in 1850. Elizabeth Hickman died on May 20, 1917 at English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 84. Elizabeth was buried after May 20, 1917 at Asbury Cemetery, English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey.

      Miriam Champion was born on Jul 31, 1814. She was the daughter of John Champion and Christiana Conover. Miriam married Joseph H. English on Sep 9, 1838. Miriam married Joseph English, son of Daniel English, on Sep 9, 1838. Miriam Champion died on Dec 26, 1894 at age 80.

     Joseph married Miriam Champion, daughter of John Champion and Christiana Conover, on Sep 9, 1838.

      Ann Champion was born on Jun 30, 1816. She was the daughter of John Champion and Christiana Conover. Ann Champion died in 1889.
      Ann was born blind and did not marry.

      Isaac Champion was born on Dec 18, 1818 at Atlantic County, New Jersey. He was the son of John Champion and Christiana Conover. Isaac married Ann De Hart, daughter of Peter De Hart and Prudence Abbott, on May 26, 1842 at Gloucester County, New Jersey. Isaac married Martha Collins. Isaac Champion died on Sep 4, 1894 at Cross Keys, Gloucester County, New Jersey, at age 75.

     Ann De Hart was the daughter of Peter De Hart and Prudence Abbott. Ann married Isaac Champion, son of John Champion and Christiana Conover, on May 26, 1842 at Gloucester County, New Jersey. Ann De Hart died on Jul 17, 1872.

     Daniel married Ruhame Ingersol.

     Ruhame married Daniel Champion.

      Prudence Anna Champion was born on Oct 9, 1855 at Cross Keys, Gloucester County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Isaac Champion and Ann De Hart. Prudence married Somers English, son of Joseph English and Miriam Champion, on Oct 4, 1879 at Downer Methodist Church, Downer, Gloucester County, New Jersey. Prudence Anna Champion died on Aug 23, 1932 at English Creek, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 76.

      David Simeon Champion was born in Nov, 1845 at Cross Keys, Gloucester County, New Jersey. He was the son of Isaac Champion and Ann De Hart. David married Maggie S. Loughlin, daughter of Daniel Loughlin and Permelia (Unknown), on Oct 31, 1867. David Simeon Champion died on Aug 9, 1928 at age 82.

      Edward J. Champion was born in Sep, 1843 at New Jersey. He was the son of Isaac Champion and Ann De Hart. Edward married Mary (Unknown) circa 1866 at New Jersey. Edward J. Champion died on Nov 15, 1926 at Cross Keys, Gloucester County, New Jersey, at age 83.

      Grant Benjamin Carlson was born on Jul 18, 1904 at Shickley, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Grant married Minnie Lois Huffman, daughter of Walter Light Huffman and Harriet Alma Ketchum, on Aug 29, 1957 at Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado. Grant Benjamin Carlson died on Feb 11, 1979 at Buckeye, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 74.

      Jacob Ellit Keoppel was born on Sep 9, 1876 at Marshall County, Iowa. Jacob married Minnie Lois Huffman, daughter of Walter Light Huffman and Harriet Alma Ketchum, on Aug 19, 1945 at Davenport, Thayer County, Nebraska. Jacob Ellit Keoppel died on May 31, 1955 at Hebron, Thayer County, Nebraska, at age 78. He was born on Jun 2, 1955 at Hebron, Thayer County, Nebraska.

      William Francis Whithorn was born on Jan 5, 1911 at Fairfield, Clay County, Nebraska. William married Doris Maxine Swenson, daughter of Arthur Emmett Swenson and Minnie Lois Huffman, on Jun 25, 1939 at the parlor of the Arthur Swenson Home, Davenport, Thayer County, Nebraska. William Francis Whithorn died on Jul 3, 1990 at Livingston, Park County, Montana, at age 79. William was buried on Jul 9, 1990 at Livingston, Park County, Montana.

      Howard M. Huffman was born on Apr 20, 1919 at Kansas. He was the son of Vinton Marshall Huffman and May Howard. Howard married Peggy Wilson Aldridge on Mar 23, 1950. Howard M. Huffman died on Feb 2, 2001 at Yucca, Mohave County, Arizona, at age 81.

      Vernon Huffman was born on Dec 10, 1923 at Kansas. He was the son of Vinton Marshall Huffman and May Howard. Vernon Huffman died on Jan 18, 1948 at age 24.

      Robert Paul Huffman was born on Dec 1, 1926 at Macon, Macon County, Missouri. He was the son of Vinton Marshall Huffman and May Howard. Robert married Dorothy June Haupt on Mar 18, 1950.

      David Huffman was born on Oct 6, 1930. He was the son of Vinton Marshall Huffman and May Howard. David married Helga Smidberg on Jun 2, 1972.

      LaVernice Huffman was born on Jun 22, 1891. She was the daughter of David Bunn Huffman and Lizzie Addie Marshall. LaVernice married George Neale Johnson on Jun 10, 1925 at Pender, Thurston County, Nebraska. LaVernice Huffman died in Oct, 1983 at age 92.
     She was also known as Verna Huffman.

      Ransom J. Arthur was born on Dec 5, 1925. Ransom married Frances Elizabeth Nickolls, daughter of Cecil Richard Nickolls and Florence S. (Unknown). Ransom J. Arthur died on Oct 28, 1989 at Saint Augustine, Saint Johns County, Florida, at age 63.

     Arthur Cornelius Nickolls was the son of Cecil Richard Nickolls and Florence S. (Unknown).

      Rebecca Schenck Conover was born on Nov 30, 1832 at Germantown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of George Frederick Conover and Nancy Anne Harris. Rebecca married David D. Bunn, son of David Bunn and Ida Van Dyke, on Oct 10, 1849 at Germantown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; 7 children, one stillborn, 4 died in infancy. Rebecca Schenck Conover died on Mar 8, 1921 at Wabasha County, Illinois, at age 88.
     She was also known as Rebeccah Conover. She and David D. Bunn removed to at Minnesota in 1869.

      Oliver A. Conover was born on Dec 25, 1842 at New Jersey. He was the son of George Frederick Conover and Nancy Anne Harris. Oliver married Susan Athlyn Abernathy on Dec 30, 1865 at Minona, Illinois. Oliver A. Conover died on May 28, 1934 at Salina, Saline County, Kansas, at age 91. Oliver was buried on May 30, 1934 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Saline County, Kansas; GAR Plot.
     He resided at at Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois. He began military service on May 18, 1864. He served as a private Company G., 139th Illinois Infantry regiment on Jun 1, 1864. He ended military service on Oct 28, 1864 at Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois.

OLIVER CONOVER, G.A.R., IS DEAD
Another of "Boys in Blue" to last rest, Taps and Salute Wednesday

Another of the few remaining "Boys In Blue" heard taps Monday evening when Oliver O. (sic) Conover died at his home, 115 E. Beloit Avenue, at 6:30 o'clock. He was 91 years old and served in the 139th Illinois Infantry during the Civil War. The final rites will be held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. L.F. Arend of the University Methodist Church in charge, assisted by Rev. George H. Zentz of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be made in the G.A.R. plot of Gypsum Hill Cemetery. A parting salute will be fired over the graveside and taps will be sounded.

Mr. Conover was born December 25, 1842 in New Jersey, was a retired farmer, and had lived here 13 years. His death resulted from complications growing out of advanced age. Surviving are his sons, Sewall Conover, Fairview, Okla; John Conover of Colorado and George Conover, living in California; and his daughters, Mrs. J.B. McIlwaine, Hoisington, and Miss Sadie Conover, 115 East Beloit. The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home until the hour of final services.

      David D. Bunn was born on Feb 8, 1823 at Lamington, Somerset County, New Jersey. He was the son of David Bunn and Ida Van Dyke. David married Rebecca Schenck Conover, daughter of George Frederick Conover and Nancy Anne Harris, on Oct 10, 1849 at Germantown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; 7 children, one stillborn, 4 died in infancy. David D. Bunn died in 1899.
     He removed to at Marshall, Henry County, Illinois, in Feb, 1853. He and Rebecca Schenck Conover removed to at Minnesota in 1869.

      Susan Athlyn Abernathy was born on May 13, 1838 at Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. Susan married Oliver A. Conover, son of George Frederick Conover and Nancy Anne Harris, on Dec 30, 1865 at Minona, Illinois. Susan Athlyn Abernathy died on Jan 13, 1909 at Linn County, Kansas, at age 70. Susan was buried at Littell Cemetery, Linn County, Kansas.

Pneumonia yesterday

Again the death angel has visited our community this time claiming for his own Mrs. Susan A. Conover, wife of O.A. Conover living 4 miles south east of Pleasanton.

She was stricken with pneumonia about ten days ago and all was done for her that medical skill and loving hands could do, and she was thought to be improving until a few hours before her death, from which time she continued to grow worse very rapidly until near the dawn of day January 13, 1909, when her spirit took its flight to try the mysteries of the 'Great Beyond".

She was 66 years of age and had for many years resided in this vicinity. She was a member fo the Methodist church, lived a consistent Christian life and trusting Him when she had served so long.

Hers was not a public life but a quiet patient, loving home life. One that always rememembered, to speak the words of encouragement to the despondent, to comfort the sorrowing or to administer to the needy when the opportunity came. To know her was to love her. She has, by her noble example, brought to bear upon the world an influence, the power of which eternity alone will reveal.

She and her husband have reared to manhood and womanhood three boys and two girls, all of which survive her but on account of distance none were able to be with her during her illness except the youngest daughter, Sadie.

She has gone, never to return. The strongest home-ties are severed no more to be united this side of eternity. Hearts are broken which time alone can heal. Yet we sorrow, not as those without hope for well we know that "Mother" will wait for us on that blissfull shore where separations can never come. Besides a heart-broke husband and sorrowing children, she leaves a host of sympathizing friends to mourn her departure.

Susan Athlyn Abernathy was born near Janesville, Ohio, May 15, 1840. With her parents she moved to Henepin, Illinois, when she was 9 or 10 years of age. She was married to Oliver A. Conover December 20, 1865 at Minona, Illinois.

The moved to Kansas in the fall of 1870 and settled near Prescott. Here they lived until 1885 when they moved to the present home. She died January 13, 1909, of pneumonia. To them were born five children, all of whom are living; Sewall T. of Granton, Oklahoma, George M of Goldfield, Nevada, John W. of Eldorado, Colorado, Mrs. Winnie McIlwaine of Hoisington, Kansas, and Miss Sadie N. of this city; who with their father mourn the loss of a faithful, patient and loving wife and mother and friend. She united with the M E Church when the class was organized at Liberty school house and was faithful to the end.

     Valerie married Gary Michael Barton, son of Ralph Fred Barton and Elia Marie Rickey, on Apr 10, 1992. Valerie Eleanor Griffin and Gary Michael Barton were divorced on Jun 1, 1995.

      Walter Light Huffman was born on Dec 15, 1861 at Marshall County, Illinois. He was the son of Cornelius Huffman and Sarah Ann Conover. Walter married Harriet Alma Ketchum, daughter of Spencer Ketchum and Elctra Atwood, on Sep 23, 1885. Walter Light Huffman died on Sep 6, 1889 at Shickley, Fillmore County, Nebraska, at age 27. Walter was buried at Summit Cemetery, Shickley, Fillmore County, Nebraska.

      David Bunn Huffman was born on Apr 4, 1863 at Illinois. He was the son of Cornelius Huffman and Sarah Ann Conover. David married Lizzie Addie Marshall on Sep 7, 1887. David Bunn Huffman died on Jun 22, 1929 at age 66.

      Elizabeth Eunice Huffman was born on Mar 4, 1865 at Illinois. She was the daughter of Cornelius Huffman and Sarah Ann Conover. Elizabeth Eunice Huffman was born on Apr 4, 1865. Elizabeth married John Nickolls on Jan 12, 1889. Elizabeth Eunice Huffman died on Apr 20, 1921 at age 56. She died on Apr 30, 1921 at age 56.
     She was also known as Lizzie Huffman.

      Sarah Theodora Huffman was born on May 10, 1868 at Illinois. She was the daughter of Cornelius Huffman and Sarah Ann Conover. Sarah Theodora Huffman died on Sep 1, 1890 at age 22. Sarah was buried at Whitefield Center Church, Illinois.
