Femmetje Van Voorhees was born on Jan 16, 1732. She was the daughter of Daniel Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. Femmetje Van Voorhees was baptized on Feb 11, 1732 at Dutch Reformed Church, New Utrecht, Kings County, New York.

      John Van Voorhees was born on Jun 23, 1736. He was the son of Daniel Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. John married Femmetje Bennet, daughter of Johannes Bennet and Malte Latten, on Jul 17, 1763. John Van Voorhees died on Dec 6, 1811 at age 75.

     Femmetje Bennet was baptized on Mar 18, 1742 at Dutch Reformed Church, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York. She was the daughter of Johannes Bennet and Malte Latten. Femmetje married John Van Voorhees, son of Daniel Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet, on Jul 17, 1763.

      Daniel Van Voorhis was born on Apr 30, 1764. He was the son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. Daniel Van Voorhis was baptized on May 23, 1764 at Wolver Hollow Church, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York. Daniel married Susanna Havens, daughter of Benjamin Havens and Susanna (Unknown), on Mar 28, 1789 at Dutch Reformed Church, Flatbush, Kings County, New York. Daniel Van Voorhis died on Dec 16, 1831 at age 67.
     He was also known as Daniel Van Vorhis. He was also known as Daniel Voorhies. He was also known as Daniel Van Voorhees.

      Susanna Havens was born on Sep 1, 1764. She was the daughter of Benjamin Havens and Susanna (Unknown). Susanna married Daniel Van Voorhis, son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet, on Mar 28, 1789 at Dutch Reformed Church, Flatbush, Kings County, New York. Susanna Havens died on Oct 2, 1817 at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, at age 53.
     She was received on confession at Dutch Reformed Church, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, May 24, 1815.

      John Van Voorhis was born on Aug 2, 1768. He was the son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. John married Sarah Van Voorhis, daughter of Daniel Van Voorhees and Sarah Van Voorhees, on Nov 23, 1797 at Dutch Reformed Church, Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. John Van Voorhis died on May 2, 1848 at Hamptonburgh, Orange County, New York, at age 79. He died on May 2, 1848 at near, Goshen, Orange County, New York, at age 79.
     He was also known as John Van Voorhees.

      Sarah Van Voorhis was born on Aug 6, 1777. She was the daughter of Daniel Van Voorhees and Sarah Van Voorhees. Sarah married John Van Voorhis, son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet, on Nov 23, 1797 at Dutch Reformed Church, Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. Sarah Van Voorhis died on Nov 17, 1859 at Goshen, Orange County, New York, at age 82.
     She was also known as Sarah (Unknown).

      Abraham Van Voorhis was born on May 16, 1773. He was the son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. Abraham married Alida Luyster, daughter of Dirck Luyster and Engeltje Covenhoven, on Dec 24, 1794. Abraham Van Voorhis died on Jun 24, 1834 at Suffolk Street at age 61; of dropsy.
     He was also known as Abraham Van Vorhis. He was also known as Abraham Van Voorhees. He was also known as Abraham Voorhies. He resided at at 85 Hester Street, New York City, New York County, New York, between 1826 and 1827.

      William Voorhies was born on Sep 11, 1779. He was the son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. William Voorhies was baptized on Jun 4, 1780. William married Susan Treadwell.
     William Voorhies was also known as William Van Vorhis. He was also known as William Van Voorhees.

     Susan married William Voorhies, son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet.

      Jeronimus Van Voorhis was born on Sep 14, 1785. He was the son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. Jeronimus married Hannah Hendrickson, daughter of Uriah Hendrickson, on Feb 16, 1811 at Presbyterian Church, Huntington, Suffolk County, New York. Jeronimus Van Voorhis died on Nov 4, 1851 at age 66. Jeronimus was buried at Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Norwich, Queens County, New York.
     He was also known as Jeromus Van Vorhis. He was also known as Jeromus Voorhies. He was also known as Jeromus Van Voorhees.

      Hannah Hendrickson was born in 1789. She was the daughter of Uriah Hendrickson. Hannah married Jeronimus Van Voorhis, son of John Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet, on Feb 16, 1811 at Presbyterian Church, Huntington, Suffolk County, New York. Hannah Hendrickson died on May 22, 1854. Hannah was buried at Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Norwich, Queens County, New York.

      Daniel Van Voorhees was born on Jul 8, 1738 at Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York. He was the son of Daniel Van Voorhees and Femmetje Bennet. Daniel married Sarah Van Voorhees, daughter of Coert Van Voorhees and Catherine Filkin, on Apr 26, 1769 at New York. Daniel married Mary Newton on Jul 12, 1780 at German Reformed Church, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; 2nd marriage Daniel. Daniel married Nancy Myers on May 1, 1791. Daniel Van Voorhees died on Feb 21, 1819 at Caroll Twp., Washington County, Pennsylvania, at age 80. Daniel was buried at Van Voorhis (Hazelkirk) Cemetery, Hazelkirk, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Daniel's estate was proved on Apr 21, 1819.

"Daniel born July 8, 1738, was the ancestor of the family in Western Pennsylvania. He was a seafaring man, following navigation most of his life; he was master of several merchant ships o fwhich he was part owner. During the revolution he was taken prisoner three different times by the British, and each time
suffering a total loss of his vessel. During an engagement one time a stanchion of the vessel against which he was leaning was carried away by a cannon ball. With two other captains as prisoners, he was taken to some Spanish island for safe keeping, from the dangers of which they escaped only to be recaptured. In 1764 Daniel was married to Mrs. Sarah Britt, who was a daughter of Coerte Van Voorhees, of Fishkill,
NY. She died September 15, 1777. By his wife he had two children, Samuel Newton and Sarah. He married as his second wife Mary Newton, July 12, 1780. We are not informed just when Daniel left Long Island and settled in Rancocas Creek, New Jersey, twelve miles from Philadelphia, but it was somewhere
about 1780. By this second marriage were born John, Daniel, Abraham and Mary. We have on a fly leaf of a little history of New York, printed in London in 1787, theres words in his own handwriting: "Moved my family out into the backwoods in the month of October, in the year of our Lord 1786." Voorhis In 1785 he had been out himself and selected his new home. He brought with him in 1786 his second wife and his children born to her as above mentioned.

He located on the farm now owned by John Van Voorhis, in Carroll township, Washington county, PA, where his wife, Mary N., died October 31, 1789, and hers was the first burial in the Van Voorhis cemetery, his daughter, Mary, being the second. She was born at the new home January 30th, 1788, and
died August 11th, 1789. Daniel first lived in teh log cabin east of the well known spring, where yet may be seen traces of it. He occupied this cabin when he married. May 3d, 1791, his third wife, in the person of Nancy Myers, and in it were born their two children, Elizabeth and Isaac. Whilst Isaac was a mere
youth the hewed log house was built that stood above the cabin nearly on the spot where is now the brick house of John Van Voorhis. Daniel died February 21st 1819, in the homestead, and his wife, Nancy, died February 17th, 1840, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Frye."

Daniel's left a will on Aug 18, 1817 at Fallow Twp., Washington County, Pennsylvania.
