Mrs. Vandevanter dies Sunday in Pampa Hospital
Mrs. Ida Mae Vandevanter, 83 died Sunday at 3 a.m. in Worley Hospital Pampa. She had lived at 702 S. Gray. Mrs. Vandevanter, an invalid for the past 19 years, moved to Pampa in 1923 from Miami. She had moved to Miami from New Mexico in 1900.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church, Pampa, with Rev. Dick Crews officiating. Burial was made in Miami Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. M. O. Fleming; one brother H. D. Harris of Cleburne; 13 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Miami cemetery records lists her date of birth as January 08, 1871.
