RICHARD CONOVER

Richard Conover, 703 Perryville St., 75, died Sunday, September 19, 1999 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born June 19, 1924, he was the son of the late Dr. Peter Harlan and Lura Smith Conover and the widower of Joyce McFatridge Conover.

He was retired from Corning Glass Works and a veteran of the US Navy where he was a signalman, serving in the South Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Debra Conover Catlett, Harrodsburg, Mrs. Kimberly Conover Soroken, Nicholasville, Cynthia Conover, Danville; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Conover.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Michael E. Conover officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Black, Joe Harlow, Harold Hendren, Lewis Hafley, Tommie Hill, Doc McKinney, Bill Montgomery, Earl Sherrow, Floyd Shirley, Albert Taylor, Don Wiley and Harry Wiley. Honorary bearers will be Robert McFatridge and Tony Dean.

Visitation from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday.
