CLARENCE H. CONOVER, the well known architect, whose offices are in the Guarantee Trust Building, Atlantic City, New Jersey, was born in this city, December 24, 1890, son of Josiah and Senna (Cramer) Conover, his father a contractor and builder of Atlantic City. He was educated in the public schools, and after finishing high school pursued studies at Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, specializing in architecture. After completing his work at Drexel Institute he continued his studies in various institutions and offices in both Philadelphia and New York City, and finally returned to Atlantic City, where he opened offices for the practice of his profession, March 18, 1920. His training had been specialized along the line of residential work, and in Atlantic City he continued this type of construction, although he is prepared for other demands that may be made upon his professional skill. He is a member of the New Jersey Society of Architects, and in religious affiliation a member of Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church.

He married, June 22, 1910, Cora B. Baker, of Atlantic City, and they are the parents of a son, William B., and a daughter, Evelyn M. The family home is at the corner of Arkansas and Mornhigside avenues, Venice Park, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
