      Hon. Louis Huff Schenck graduated from Rutgers College in 1874, then studied law in the office of N. J. Chief Justice Magie. Admitted to the bar in 1877, and later, to practice in the U. S. District and Circuit Courts. Judge of Somerset County Common Pleas Court for ten years. He had the honor of being President of many associations, notably: Somerset Bar Assn., Somerset Agricultural Society, Somerset Sunday School Assn., Somerset County Boards of Education, Holstein-Friesian Breeders Assn. He was Grand Chancellor of the N. J. Domain, Knights of Pythias, a prominent Mason, and in later years when he made his home in Somerville, he was an Elder in the Second Reformed Church.
