      Joseph Alma Hale was born on May 16, 1893 at Preston, Franklin County, Idaho. He was the son of Alma Helaman Hale Jr. and Elizabeth Presinda Hendricks. Joseph married Rosella Maria Clark, daughter of Joseph Clark and Laura Ann Larsen, on Nov 27, 1918 at Logan, Cache County, Utah. Joseph Alma Hale died on Oct 22, 1962 at Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho, at age 69. Joseph was buried at Smithfield City Cemetery, Smithfield, Cache County, Utah.
