Goldie C. Mickel, 100, of Roosevelt House I, Owensboro, KY died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her home. She was born on August 22, 1909 in Hancock County, Kentucky to the late W.F. and Alice Anderson. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Rowland Mickel in 1975, by her son, ClaytonWynyard Mickel and by siblings, John Anderson, Zelma Jolly and Grace Jolly. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joan Mickel and two grandsons, Kevin Mickel and Kenny Mickel and his wife, Jeannie and two great grandchildren, Kristopher and Nathaniel. Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Bellevue Baptist Church, 4950 Hwy. 56, Owensboro. Private family burial will be in Mt. Eden Cemetery in Hancock County, Kentucky. There will be no visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
