He leaves to mourn their loss his father and mother, one brother and two sisters and a large circle of relatives and friends.
He was a lovable child and made friends of all who knew him. Though a child he bore his afflictions to the end with a patience worthy of one of adult years. Our loss is his gain, for he has gone to join the angels. The funeral was conducted from the Sheridan M.E. church and the body was laid to rest in the Sheridan Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Marshall Hulbert.

Mrs. Leslie Anthony of Cedar Rapids was laid to rest in the Sheridan cemetery Saturday afternoon. She was buried beside her infant son who died a year ago.
The funeral service was held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Calvary Baptist church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Rev. Richard Clearwater. Relatives and friends from the south Tama vicinity attending were Mrs. Ada Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. David Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kenner, Mrs. Wallace Cloyd, James Spire and daughter, Grace and Mrs. Hilding Johnson, all of Sheridan; Mrs. Jos. Dedrick and Mrs. William Oltrogge of Grinnell.
Lida Viola Moon was born June 12, 1896 in Logansport, Ind., and died Dec. 29, 1938, while a resident of Cedar Rapids, at the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 17 days. She died at 12:52 A.M. Thursday, in the University Hospital, Iowa City, following a long illness.
Following her marriage, Mrs. Anthony lived a short time in the Sheridan neighborhood, and had since lived around Cedar Rapids. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Ruth, David, Mary and Martha; by three brothers, Ernest Moon of Champaign, Ill., Cecil Moon of Decatur, Ill., Harold Moon of Urbana, Ill., and by four sisters, Mrs. Maude Hutchinson, Thomasboro, Ill., Mrs. Mattie Moore, Chicago, Miss Cecila Moon of Hinsdale, Ill., and Mrs. H.M. Wilhite of Denver, Colo.

One son Carl Cameron preceded him December 9, 1918. Uncle Nate as he is called by many relatives and friends was of a kind and cheery disposition and especially fond of little children, and was a man who was worthy of every ones friendship.
He was a kind and loving father and a faithful friends always ready and willing to help others. He leaves to mourn his untimely departure hi s eight children. Mrs. Leila Beach of Holton, Howard, Corning, Kansas. Dean and Ray of Havensville, Mrs. Grace Bramlett of Silver Lake, Mrs. Mae Dailey, Oskaloosa, Van of Bilings, Mont. Mrs. Maude Schane, Onaga, Kansas. One sister, Mrs. Minnie Bottom, Onaga, a number of grand children and great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

HAVENSVILLE -- Mrs Maude I. Shove, 78, Havensville, died Wednesday after she was stricken outside the Baptist church in McLouth after attending funeral services for a niece. She apparently had a heart attack. Born June 12, 1897, in Havensville, Mrs. Shove taught school at Garden City, K ansas City, Onaga and rural Havensville before she retired in 1965. She was a member of Bucks Grove United Methodist church No. 71, Order of the Eastern Star, Onaga. She was president of the Senior Citizens in Onaga.
Her first husband, Frank Schane, died in 1934. Henry Shove, her second husband, survivors. Other survivors include four stepsons, Gene Shove, Urbana, Ill., Noel D. Shove, Boulder, Colo; Cecil R. Shove, Kansas City , and Henry Lee Shove, Milford, Conn; a sister, Mrs. Grace Bramlett, T opeka; and four step great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Bucks Grove United Methodist church near Havensville. Burial will be in the Onaga City cemetery.
Her body will lie in state until 9 a.m. Saturday in the Stewart Funeral home, Wamego, and from 11 a.m. until service time the casket at the church, after which time the casket will remain closed.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bucks Grove United Methodist church and sent in care of Mrs. Marion Beightel, Soldier.

HAVENSVILLE -- Mrs Maude I. Shove, 78, Havensville, died Wednesday after she was stricken outside the Baptist church in McLouth after attending funeral services for a niece. She apparently had a heart attack. Born June 12, 1897, in Havensville, Mrs. Shove taught school at Garden City, K ansas City, Onaga and rural Havensville before she retired in 1965. Mrs. Beach is a graduate of the Wamego high school and is a licensed cosmetologist and is employed at the New Style beauty shop at Manhattan.

Obit: Lyle Nathan Beach, 83, Onaga, died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at a Rochester, Minn., hospital.
Mr. Beach worked for the Michigan- Wisconsin Pipeline in Havensville from 1947 until he was transferred to Portland, Ind., in 1964. He also had farmed in the Havensville area. He served in the Navy from 1940 to 1947.
He was born March 6, 1914 on a farm south of Havensville, the son of Alfred and Leila Harries Beach. He was graduated from Havensville High School in 1933. He had lived in Buhel, Idaho, before he joined the Navy. He moved to Onaga from Portland, Ind., in 1980.
Mr. Beach was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Wamego. He was a life member of Post No. 85 of the American Legion, Post No. 7772 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Lodge No. 188 AF&AM, all in Onaga, York Rite Chapter No. 95 RAM in Bluffton, Ind., Chapter No. 30 RAM, in Muncie, Ind., and Scottish Rite No. 32 AF&AM in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was married to Lucille Stedman on Jan. 10. 1944, in Seattle, she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Lindsay and Judy Beach, both of Topeka; a son, Lyle Beach, Jr., Bryon, Ohio, a brother, Edwin Beach, Hughson, Ca. and five grandchildren.
Mr. Beach was cremated. Memorial services are pending at Tessendorf-Cha pel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Inurnment at Buck's Grove Cemetery south of Soldier will be private. Relatives and friends will meet at the funeral home following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Obit: Lyle Nathan Beach, 83, Onaga, died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, at a Rochester, Minn., hospital.
Mr. Beach worked for the Michigan- Wisconsin Pipeline in Havensville from 1947 until he was transferred to Portland, Ind., in 1964. He also had farmed in the Havensville area. He served in the Navy from 1940 to 1947.
He was born March 6, 1914 on a farm south of Havensville, the son of Alfred and Leila Harries Beach. He was graduated from Havensville High School in 1933. He had lived in Buhel, Idaho, before he joined the Navy. He moved to Onaga from Portland, Ind., in 1980.
Mr. Beach was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Wamego. He was a life member of Post No. 85 of the American Legion, Post No. 7772 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Lodge No. 188 AF&AM, all in Onaga, York Rite Chapter No. 95 RAM in Bluffton, Ind., Chapter No. 30 RAM, in Muncie, Ind., and Scottish Rite No. 32 AF&AM in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was married to Lucille Stedman on Jan. 10. 1944, in Seattle, she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Lindsay and Judy Beach, both of Topeka; a son, Lyle Beach, Jr., Bryon, Ohio, a brother, Edwin Beach, Hughson, Ca. and five grandchildren.
Mr. Beach was cremated. Memorial services are pending at Tessendorf-Cha pel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Inurnment at Buck's Grove Cemetery south of Soldier will be private. Relatives and friends will meet at the funeral home following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

She was born September 1, 1904 in Soldier, the daughter of Orin and Gertrude Booth Nichols and spent most of her life in Jackson and Pottawatomie counties. Mrs. Harries had worked at Golden Acres nursing home in Onaga two and one half years and later at Onaga community hospital nine and one half years. She was a member of the Congregational church, Ladies Aid at the church, the auxiliary to Post No. 85 of the American Legion, Needlecraft Club, and Senior Center, all in Onaga. She was married to Howard Harries of Havensville March 23, 1924. They farmed south of Corning for 29 years, moving to Onaga in March of 1958. Mr. Harries died in April 1973. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Laura Mae) Thompson, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Marvin (Mary) Cottrell, Onaga; two sons, Raymond Harries, Clarkston, Wash., and Roy Harries, Lawrence; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 26 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Greeley Nichols, Portland, Ore. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, at the Onaga congregational church. Burial was in Bucks Grove cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational church or Golden Acres nursing home activity fund, both in Onaga.

Mr. Harries died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at his home after a long illness.
He was born April 3, 1933, in Corning, the son of Howard Henry and Margaret M. Nichols Harries. He graduated from Corning High School in 1951. He lived in Lawrence for 10 years before moving in 1997 to Ozawkie.
Mr. Harried retired from Leavenworth-Jefferson Rural Electric Co-op in McLouth after working 10 years as a manager and 21 years as a lineman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served from 1952 to 1956 in Kodiak Island, Alaska, and aboard the USS Duncan in the Far East. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 225 in Ozawkie and of McLouth United Methodist Church.
He married Leone Skiles on Nov. 10, 1956, in Corning. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Renee Kearney, Valley Falls, and Lori Hickman, Austin, Texas; two sons, Randy, Topeka, and Brad, Oskaloosa; a sister, Mary Cottrell, Onaga; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
