Services for Robert Dennis "Denny" Aikey, 63, of Concord Township, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Jakubs-Danaher Funeral Home, 36000 Lake Shore Blvd., Eastlake.

Mr. Aikey died Sept. 24, 2009, in Cleveland.

Born March 10, 1946, in Bellefonte, Pa., he lived in Mentor before moving to Concord Township five years ago.

He enjoyed fishing, golf, and recently scuba diving. He was a member of the Painesville Elks, Quail Hollow Country Club and the N.R.A.

Mr. Aikey was founder and CEO (since 1978) of Trend Consulting Services in Eastlake.

Survivors are his daughter, Kimberly (Al) Slocum; grandchildren, Steven, Megan and Ashlyn Slocum; and sisters, Kay (Robert) Kaiser and Cheryl Sharer.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian; parents, Melvin and K. Eileen Aikey; sister, Victoria Aikey; and brother, Barry Aikey.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at the funeral home.
