Conover Goes to Join the Great Majority of Pathfinders Passed On. In the death of Mrs. R. B. Conover Wednesday night at her home, 1528 Asylum avenue, another pioneer has ended her long journey. Mrs. Conover, whose maiden name was Therza Rozell, was born March, 1841, near Connersville, Indian. She was married in 1861 to R. B. Conover who, with two children, Frank of Butte, Montana, and Miss Lula, of this city survive her, one child having died in infancy, and another daughter Daisy, a beautiful girl of 20, dying some seventeen years ago.
In 1872 Mr. and Mrs. Conover came to Oregon, coming to San Francisco and thence northward by sailing vessel. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a loyal member of the Presbyterian Church. She been ailing for some time, but the end came unexpectedly at about 10 o'clock Wednesday night, when she was seized with heart failure, and passed away in a short time.

      OBITUARY:
At her home in East Salem, on Asylum avenue, at 1 o'clock a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1890, Miss Daisy Conover, aged 20 years, 10 months and 27 days.
The deceased died of consumption, after an illness of ten months. She was the daughter of R. B. Conover, well known in Salem newspaper circles in the past, but who at this time is interested in the Dayton Herald. Frank Conover, of the Corvallis Gazette, is her brother.
Rev. E. J. Thompson, of Corvallis, will conduct the funeral services at the Presbyterian church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

John married Mamie Brown on Oct 9, 1883; no issue. John married Jeanette Boyd, daughter of Alexander Lee Boyd and Janette Clementine Ray, on Oct 5, 1905 at Vinita, Craig County, Oklahoma. John Pemberton Voorhies died on Dec 13, 1929 at Neosho, Newton County, Missouri, at age 74.

      Mamie Brown was born circa 1855. Mamie married John Pemberton Voorhies, son of Cornelius F. Voorhies and Mary E. McLaughlin, on Oct 9, 1883; no issue.

      Jeanette Boyd was born on Aug 24, 1882 at Neosho, Newton County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Alexander Lee Boyd and Janette Clementine Ray. Jeanette married John Pemberton Voorhies, son of Cornelius F. Voorhies and Mary E. McLaughlin, on Oct 5, 1905 at Vinita, Craig County, Oklahoma. Jeanette Boyd died on Jun 2, 1973 at Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, at age 90.

      Cornelius Voorhies was born on Sep 3, 1857. He was the son of Cornelius F. Voorhies and Mary E. McLaughlin. Cornelius married Henrietta Gooch, daughter of Thomas J. Gooch and Sophronia Barker, on Apr 19, 1882.
     Cornelius Voorhies resided at at Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri.
