      Dr. Felix Formento M.D. was born on Mar 17, 1837 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. Felix married Celestine Voorhies, daughter of Bennet Pemberton Voorhies and Augustine Azelie Grandenigo, on Jun 17, 1861. Dr. Felix Formento M.D. died on Jun 4, 1907 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 70. Felix was buried at Old Saint Louis Cemetery, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
     He was a surgeon, Orleans Guards Regiment, Louisina Militia in Oct, 1861. On 1886 was the President of the Orleans Parish Medical Society.
Dr. Formento graduated in medicine from the Royal Academy of Turin, Italy, and was otherwise highly educated, being able to speak 6 languages. He served in the Austrian and Italian War in the medical corps of the Italian emperor.

Later he took a postgraduate course at the University of Paris, and then returned to New Orleans on the outbreak of the war of secession, in which he served with distinction as a surgeon.

He aided in the organization of the Confederate hospital at Richmond, Va., and at the age of 24 was chief of staff for this hospital.

When the war closed, Dr. Formento located in New Orleans, where he rose to prominence in his profession. For 12 years he was vice-president of the Louisiana State Board of Health; was the author of "School Hygiene," "Abuse of Alcoholic Drinks" and other valuable publications.

He was a recognized authority and expert in the treatment of yellow fever; was a vice-president of the international medical congress held at Geneva, Italy, and was president of the American Public Health association at a meeting held in Mexico in 1894. He was pioneer in the matter of skin-grafting, performing his first skin-grafting during the Civil War.

      Nancy Griffith Brand was born on Aug 10, 1843 at Woodford County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of George Brand and Nancy Griffith. Nancy married Charles Howard Voorhies, son of William Preston Voorhies and Mary Howard Hart, on Dec 17, 1867. Nancy Griffith Brand died in 1921.
     She was also known as Annie Brand.

      William P. Voorhies was born on Jun 29, 1841 at Woodford County, Kentucky. He was the son of William Preston Voorhies and Mary Howard Hart. William married Ellen Duncan, daughter of Henry T. Duncan and Elizabeth Dunster Pike, on Jun 22, 1865 at Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. William P. Voorhies died on Mar 23, 1916 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 74.

      Ellen Duncan was born on Jan 28, 1842 at Fayette County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Henry T. Duncan and Elizabeth Dunster Pike. Ellen married William P. Voorhies, son of William Preston Voorhies and Mary Howard Hart, on Jun 22, 1865 at Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. Ellen Duncan died on Jul 15, 1933 at Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, at age 91.

      Lt. Gordon P. Voorhies was born on Jun 16, 1844 at Kentucky. He was the son of William Preston Voorhies and Mary Howard Hart. Lt. Gordon P. Voorhies died on Nov 13, 1864 at age 20; the Battle of Bull's Gap.
     He served in the Confederate Army.

      Alfred Shelby Voorhees was born in 1846 at Kentucky. He was the son of William Preston Voorhies and Mary Howard Hart. Alfred Shelby Voorhees died on Apr 5, 1847.

      Margaret Pearl Voorhies was born on Jun 13, 1869 at Kentucky. She was the daughter of George F. Voorhies and Laura Sanders. Margaret married James Ben Ali Haggin, son of Feah Temple Haggin and Adaline Ben Ali, in Dec, 1897. Margaret Pearl Voorhies died in Jun, 1965 at her home 824 5th Ave., New York City, New York County, New York.
      Her obituary states that she was the widow of multi-millionaire mining industrialist, James B. Haggin.

     James Ben Ali Haggin was the son of Feah Temple Haggin and Adaline Ben Ali. James married Eliza Jane Sanders on Dec 28, 1846. James married Margaret Pearl Voorhies, daughter of George F. Voorhies and Laura Sanders, in Dec, 1897. James Ben Ali Haggin died on Sep 13, 1914 at at his villa, Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.

     Eliza married James Ben Ali Haggin, son of Feah Temple Haggin and Adaline Ben Ali, on Dec 28, 1846.

     Feah married Adaline Ben Ali.
