Cornelius Irons, Silverton boatbuilder, died on Tuesday night. He was 82 years old and had been ill health for some time. For many years he had operated a boat building establishment on Kettle Creek. Funeral services will be conducted from his late home on Saturday at 2 P. M. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Irons; a sister, Mrs. Lucinda Gant, of Silverton; two stepchildren, William and Elizabeth Truex, the children of his first wife; four stepchildren, the children of his second wife: S. M. Tilton, David Tilton, Mrs. Arthur Clayton and Mrs. Ross; besides nephews and nieces.
