Stella Akers died in Nov, 1969 at Woodville, Wilkinson County, Mississippi, at age 85.

Shirley Jean Dickson, 58, of Big Rock, passed away on Friday, September 8, 1995 at her home. She was born November 3, 1936 in Aurora, the daughter of Walter Victor and Janet (Conover) Shick.
Shirley was united in marriage on March 20, 1956 in Yorkville to Mr. John Robert Dickson. She spent her years as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, John of Big Rock; five children, David (Carol) Dickson of Oak Harbor, Washington, Denise (Steve) Zinkie of Yorkville, Donna (Thomas) Leffelman of Big Rock, Dawn (Paul) Mulligan of Yorkville, Dale (Teresa) Dickenson of Wamego, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Allice (Collin) Nicholson of Sycamore; as well as many friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ralph Shick and two sisters, Liz Harker and Janice Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 1995 at 10 a.m. at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol.
Friends may call on Sunday, September 10, 1995 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway in Yorkville.
