Mr. Conover's two sons, Samuel Dolley and Adams Jewett, are in business in the city.

Willie B., the son of Lansing H. and Rose Gearhart, was born August 28, 1885 and died at his home near Fishville, Montcalm Co., Michigan on Tuesday May 20, 1890.
Willie was a bright, promising boy, strong and active, delighting to follow his papa in his outdoor labors and he just commenced to go to school. already he had begun to think on death and told his older brother he had no fears of it. At another time he asked his mother if it wouldn't be nice if an angel would come from the sky and carry him off to Heaven. He was taken sick with the whooping cough, which termined in Pneumonia of the throat and lungs, which was the immediate cause of his death.
On the Thursday previous to the Tuesday on which he died, he was very anxion to kneel with the rest at the family altar. Though very sick and weak he persuaded them to put him on his knees, but after prayer he was too weak to move and was placed back in his bed. ON Friday his mother asked hi if he was afraid to die. He said, "No." She then asked him if he would be happy and he said "Yes", and seemd very confident.
The funeral services were held at the house and were well attended, the writer using on the occasion, Job 14:14, "May God granat that father, mother and all the family may be prepared to follow him when it shall be their turn to step into the cold stream'>
