Edith was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church most of her life, both at Olivet & Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell in 1971, by an infant son in 1939 & by 5 brothers & 4 sisters. Edith was a loving, caring person and her memory will live on through her loving family who survive her: daughter, Marietta; sons & daughters-in-law, Bruce & Carol, Donald & Carol, Gary & Jenny; grandchildren, David, Teresa & husband Bill, Dennis, Timothy, John, James, Karrie & husband Britt, Debra & husband Brian and Jared; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Sarver & brother, Wilbur Mills. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 5 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 3 Hay Ave. Brookville, with Pastor Don Jackson officiating. Interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery, W. Uriah Dubois died in this city Thursday, April 6th, of apolplexy, aged 74 years, 1 month, and 6 days. He was born in Duchess county, New York, May 1st, 1806, and lived as a farmer in his native county for several years. in 1856, he brought his family to this county and engaged in farming untill 1877, when he moved to the city. Though his sons made his home pleasant and kept all his wants supplied, yet his natural habits of industry led him to seek some occupation suitable to his declining years, and for the past four years he has engaged in the runiture rooms of Gwynne Bros. During his residence in this county he made many friends who respected him highly. He was and exhaustive reader and possessed of an active and retentive memory which was undimmed by age, he would converse intelligently upon any subject. The funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon, from his late residence, Rev. E. N. Barrett, of the Presbyterian church officiating. Deceased leaves a wife and theree sons here, and a daughter in New York. one in Kansas and another in Waverly, Iowa, also a son at Yankton, Dakota, all of whom have the sympathy of their many friends.
