Corris Swapp Morgan passed away peacefully on August 12, 2008 in Kanab, Utah. She resided at 177 East 450 North in Kanab, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born October 12, 1918 in Kanab, Utah to Harriet Capes Johnson and James William Swapp. In her youth, she attended school in Kanab graduating with the class of '36 from Kanab High School. Corris attended BYU and the University of Utah where she studied accounting, electronics and business. She married Air Force Lieutenant Robert Nelson Bulloch (Cedar City) on September 25, 1943 in Houston, Texas. Six months later Robert was killed during flight formation exercises. During World War II Corris worked for Hill Air Force Base as a radio repair specialist in Philadelphia. She also worked in Los Angeles for American Airlines and at the Hotel Utah. She then married Arthur Morgan in 1950. Later Corris returned to Kanab to raise her four children where she worked as a book keeper, desk clerk and managed finances for many of the local motels, including Parry's Lodge, Red Hills, Thunderbird and Four Seasons. Corris had a love for travel and was ready at a moment's notice for an adventure or road trip. She always made her family a priority and was a loyal friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Corris Morgan is survived by her children, Allan Walter (Deborah) Morgan, James William (Ann) Morgan and Nancy Kaye (Norman) Roundy; brothers, Neaf (Glenna) Swapp and Clifford (Reva) Swapp; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her daughter, Saundra Sue Morgan Chamberlin and siblings, Mark, Eldred, Ella Willis, Nina Smirl, Cloyd, Leon and Viola Watson.

Funeral Services under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary will be held in the Kanab South Chapel located 604 South 100 East (Highway 89A) on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 4 p.m. Friends may call from 2:45-3:45 prior to the services.
Interment: Kanab City Cemetery.
