Delo, Charles, of the firm of Conover & Co., wholesale cheese dealers, Plymouth; this firm is one of the largest shipping and exporting firms in cheese in the State of Wisconsin; they shipped in the year 1880 over fifty thousand boxes of cheese to Liverpool, averaging 55 lbs. each, all of which was manufactured in Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties; this firm was the first that started the manufactory of cheese in Sheboygan County, at Plymouth, Mr. Hiram Conover being the proprietor of the factory, working by the month; they being young and industrious men, had saved enough capital to buy the factory in 1877, which they sold out in 1879, and started to buy and export cheese, and will this season (1881), pay over $250,000 for cheese, all of which will go to Liverpool. Mr. Delo was born Oct. 9, 1853; was married in March, 1880, to Ida Conover, daughter of Hirahm (sic) Conover, of Plymouth.

Franklin Kinder
Franklin P. Kinder Sr., 80, Yakima, died Sunday at a Yakima convalescent home. Born Oct. 22, 1888 in Waitsburg, he was married to the former Lois Conover in that city on Aug. 19 1911. In 1937 the couple moved to Seattle. Then, upon his retirement, they made their home in Yakima. Kinder had been an agent, and in later year general agent, for the Kansas City Life Insurance Co. He was to have received his 50-year Pin with that company this coming week. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias of Waitsburg, and a 55-year member of Waitsburg Lodge No. 16. He attended the Christian Church. Survivors include the widow, Lois, at the home, one daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Martha) Blain, Issaquah, Wash., two sons, John H., Vallejo. Calif, and Franklin P., Jr., Yakima, Wash., one sister, Mrs. Lelia Edland. Seattle, and a brother. Jay, Palo Alto, Calif. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Waitsburg Christian Church with Rev. Vernon Smith
officiating. Vault interment will follow in the Waitsburg City Cemetery.
