Jerome married Alice Mae Higgins, daughter of William Higgins and Emma Vallier, on Apr 9, 1910 at Berlin, Coos County, New Hampshire. Jerome Orne Hodgdon died on Dec 7, 1949 at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, at age 67. Jerome was buried at Cardston Cemetery, Cardston, Alberta, Canada.

      Alice Mae Higgins was born on Feb 12, 1894 at West Milan, Coos County, New Hampshire. She was the daughter of William Higgins and Emma Vallier. Alice married Jerome Orne Hodgdon, son of Samuel Fox Hodgdon and Abigail M. Scales, on Apr 9, 1910 at Berlin, Coos County, New Hampshire. Alice Mae Higgins died on Feb 9, 1977 at age 82. Alice was buried at Cardston Cemetery, Cardston, Alberta, Canada.
     

Alice Higgins was born in West Milan, New Hampshire, on February 12th, 1894. She was the oldest of three children born to William Higgins and Emma (Vallier) Higgins. When Alice was six years old her mother passed away. In about 1903 William married Georgia (Hodgdon) Higgins. They had nine more children.

Jerome Hodgdon, the son of Samuel Fox Hodgdon and Abbie (Scales) Hodgdon, was born October 5th, 1882 in West Milan, New Hampshire. He was an older brother of Alice's stepmother.

On April 9th, 1910 Alice and Jerome were married. They immediately left New Hampshire on an immigrant train to settle in southern Alberta. Some other immigrants who came with them were Joe and George Nay, Joe Chamberlain, the William Higgins family, and members of the Christie family. Alice and Rome, as he was commonly known, settled in the Jefferson area to work for Joe Nay.

For a number of years Jerome worked for various people in the area, moving his family many times. One place of employment was the Galbraith Ranch in Montana. In 1931 he homesteaded a quarter section of land in Whiskey Gap, and later purchased another quarter nearby. The family lived here until 1950 when Raymond, the second oldest son, rented the Bill Harper farm, and Alice moved into a home with lots of room, running water and electricity.

Their ten children, six daughters and 4 sons. One son, Morfis, died in 1968. Three of the sons served in the armed forces during World War 11.

Jerome passed away on December 7, 1949. Alice lived with her son on the farm in Whiskey Gap until her passing on February 9th, 1977. Both are buried in the Cardston Cemetery
