Know all men by these presents that I Thomas J. Stringfield of the County of Richardson and state of Nebraska for the consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Samuel R. Stumbo do hereby sell and convey unto Samuel R. Stumbo of the County of Richardson and state of Nebraska all my rights title and interest in and the undivided half of the following described real estate situate and lying in Richardson county sate of Nebraska to wit commencing at a certain line on the south bank of the Nemaha River at a distance of 13 chains leaning north from the north east corner of the west half of the north west quarter of section no 28 township no one range no 16 thence south a distance of 2 25/100 chains to a stone thence east a distance of 11 60/100 chains thence north to the distance of 11 60/100 chains thence west to the distance of 2 chains to a Hone Locust tree on the south bank of said River and thence following up the south bank of said river to the peace of beginning except as much of the above described and bounded tract of land as is contained in a space of 2 19/100 chains in length running or leaning east and west and 2 chains in width leaning north and south it being situated in the south west corner of the above described named J C Hoepfinger and Elizabeth Hoepfinger his wife personally known to me to be the identical person whose names are affixed to the foregoing instrument as grantors and acknowledges the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the purpose therein expressed. In testimony whereof I have her hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my official seal at Falls City Nebraska on the date above written.
