Geraldine E. "Jerry" Jewett, 87, of Mount Pleasant, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.
Born Oct. 21, 1920, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Harold and Gladys Conover Slusher. On Jan. 1, 1939, she married Franklin Jewett in Memphis, Mo.
Mrs. Jewett worked in advertising at the Mount Pleasant News for 38 years. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School. She was a member of Wesley Chapel. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary Jewett and Fred Jewett, both of Mount Pleasant; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The graveside service for Mrs. Jewett will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Sue Ann Cubbage officiating.
