— Services for Jana Lee Fry will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2008, at First Christian Church. Pastor Charles Ragsdale will share words of comfort. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rice Funeral Service. Jana passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008. She was 41.
Born in Claremore on Jan. 19, 1967, to Victor and Mary Jane (Kincade) Fry, Jana was reared and educated in her community of birth. She graduated with the 1985 class at Claremore High School and attended Rogers State College before transferring to OSU. She graduated from OSU in 1990 with a degree in fashion merchandising. A perfectionist in many aspects of her life, Jana?s name frequently appeared on the President?s honors roll. She was a talented speaker and a member of Kappa Omicron Nu Sorority.
After completing her education, Jana began her work career as an administrative assistant in an architectural firm. Over the years she worked for Telex, Worldcom, MCI and Verizon before taking employment with IBM.
Jana was an avid reader and shopper. She loved music and the theatre and was active in Victory and Rhema Church.
Beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Jana is survived by her parents Victor and Mary Fry; her sister, Linda Womack, all of Claremore; her brother, Vic Fry, Jr., of Tulsa; her nephew, Ronnie Henry, also of Claremore; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her loving companion, Jack Russell Terrier, Ezri. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Merritt and Maggie Culver Fry and Ernest L. and Emma Marie Kincade.
