Burial will be in Decatur. Mr Fisher was born in Decatur City and had lived in Des Moines for 34 years. He retired in 1974 from the Job Service of Iowa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Leon and the Creston Elks Club. Survivor include his wife, Vera; a daughter Karen Jostes of Indianola; a son Fred Jr of Fulton, Mo; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. They moved to Creston, Iowa in 1941 where he was manager of the Iowa State Employment Office. He was transferred to Des Moines in 1951 and retired in 1974 after 34 years. He was a member of the Loving Chapel United Methodist Church in Leon and Creston Elks Club. Survivors include his widow Vera; daughter Karen Jostes and husband Wayne of Indianola, Iowa; son Fred Jr and wife Evalyn, Fulton Mo; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Ronald and Victor.
