WOOSTER -- Ola Mae "Jiggs" Owen, 89, of Wooster, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Doylestown Health Care Center.

She was born June 8, 1917, in Roarks Cove, Tenn., to Henry and Armiza (Walker) Long. A resident of Wooster, formerly of Sewanee, Tenn., she had been a resident of Doylestown Health Care Center for seven months.

Ola had worked for a shoe factory and many local restaurants. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and was a former rescue squad member in Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Owen, four sisters, and three brothers.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie (Millard) DeLauder of Doylestown; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Services will be Saturday, May 19, at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle, Tenn. Burial will be at Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee, Tenn.
