Mrs. Catherine Ely of Milhurst, widow of Joseph Ely, died of heart disease last Friday, aged 84 years. Mrs. Ely was the daughter of William I. Conover and was born at Millhurst. She was married to Joseph Ely in 1840. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Freehold. She leaves four children, Mrs. Henry J. Mount of Freehold, Miss Achsah Ely of Vassar college, Mrs. John Dey of Windsor and Miss Katherine Ely, who lives at home.

      Ellen Vanderveer Conover was born on Dec 31, 1834. She was the daughter of Dr. Arthur V. Conover and Eliza Ann Vanderveer. Ellen married Phillip J. Ryall, son of Daniel P. Ryall and Julliet P. Scudder, on Feb 16, 1859. Ellen Vanderveer Conover died on Nov 24, 1916 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, at age 81.       David Vanderveer Conover was born in 1838. He was the son of Dr. Arthur V. Conover and Eliza Ann Vanderveer. David married Charlotte Black Read, daughter of Joseph Samuel Read and Mary Black, on May 25, 1861 at Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey. David married Charlotte Black Read, daughter of Joseph Samuel Read and Mary Black, on May 26, 1864 at Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey. David Vanderveer Conover died on Apr 25, 1896. David was buried at Saint Andrews Cemetery, Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.
     

David Vanderveer Conover died of paralysis at the home of his father, Dr. Arthur Conover, at Freehold, on Saturday, April 25th, aged 58 years. He was born at Manalapan and studied law at Mount Holly. He practised law at Red Bank for a time and was deputy sheriff under the late Samuel T. Hendrickson. He was also at one time deputy revenue collector of the Freehold district. Two children survive him.

      Charlotte Black Read was born on Apr 27, 1840 at Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Joseph Samuel Read and Mary Black. Charlotte married David Vanderveer Conover, son of Dr. Arthur V. Conover and Eliza Ann Vanderveer, on May 25, 1861 at Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.
