4. obit: Mrs. Mabel E. Austin Funeral Held. Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel E. Austin were held Wenesday, Sept. 17, 1969, at 2:30 p.m. in the Tanner-Underwood funeral home in Loraine with the Rev. Robert Grundhofer officiating. Pall bearers were Charles Kicheloe, Jim Roberson, Frank Shriver, Mike Sill, Russell Tribbett and Reuel Mayers. Interment was in Mendon Cemetery. Mrs. Austin, 86, died Monday, Sept. 15, at 7:55 a.m. in the Good Shepherd nursing Home in Golden, Ill.. She was Born in Mendon, Dec. 24, 1882, a daughter of James Frederick and Lucy Curtis Kincade. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was married Dec. 18, 1906, at Quincy to Clarence B. Austin who preceded her in death July 13, 1933. Surviving are a son Harlan, of West Point, a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Edith) Berg of Bowen; seven grandchildren and 13 great granchildren. A son and a granchild preceded her in death. Mabel Elizabeth Kincade was born on 24. Dec. 1883 at Mendon, Adams County, Illinois. She married Clarence Bent Austin, son of Cornelius Austin and Mariette C. Smiley Bent, on 18. Dec. 1906 at Quincy, Adams County, Illinois; Ref #1677. Mabel Elizabeth Kincade died on 15. Sep. 1969 at Golden, Adams County, Illinois, at age 85. She was buried at Mendon Cemetery, Mendon, Adams County, Illinois.
