Susanna Nevius, daughter of
John Nevius and
Deborah Mount, c 1792 at Bedminster, Somerset County, New Jersey. Job Lane was Farmer bt 1792 - 1843 at Bedminster, Somerset County, New Jersey. He died on 1. Mar. 1843 at Bedminster, Somerset County, New Jersey, at age 73. He died on 1. Mar. 1843 at Pluckemin, Somerset County, New Jersey, at age 73. He died on 4. Aug. 1855 at age 86. Job resided on his father's homestead. He was a deacon and elder of the Bedminster Reformed Church; a justice of the peace from 1815 to 1831; one of the Judges of Common Pleas of Somerset, appointed 1820 and re appointed 1826. Mr. Lane was an enterprising and worthy citizen. His son, Peter J., stated that when Job was a lad he saw Gen. Washington lead off the first dance at the famous Pluckemin ball in 1779, and took charge of a number of horses for visitors, putting them in his father's barn. Job's will, of 2 Feb 1843, was probated 11 Mar 1843.
