MRS. BUCKLES IS TAKEN BY DEATH
The death of Mrs. Georgia Anna Buckles, widow of the late John T. Buckles, occurred at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Clara's Hospital, following an attack of pneumonia.
Mrs. Buckles was a life-long resident of Logan County. She was born in Elkhart 67 years ago. Her husband passed away a number of years ago while he was employed as manager of Lincoln State School and Colony farm. They were married in Mt. Pulaski in 1878.
Mrs. Buckles is survived by the following children: Mrs. S. A. Warrick, and Mrs. Mrs. G. R. Foster, Lincoln; Mrs. Emma Engert, Beloit, Wis; Miss Catherine Buckles at home; and F. T. Buckles of St. Louis. A sister and brother preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian Church and W.C.T.U.
The body will be removed this evening from the Sheets Mortuary to the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. R. Foster at 413 Elm Street, where a short service will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning. At 10 o'clock a service will be held at the First Christian Church, with Rev. L. H. Hooe in charge. Burial will be made in the Steenbergen Cemetery.
She was buried at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski, Logan County, Illinois.
