G. Sterling Ransdell, 80, a retired conductor for the Southern Railway Systerm, died Thursday, Apr. 19, 1969, at Booth Hospital, Covington, after a short illness. He had lived in Erlanger for many years. Born Dec. 27, 1888 in Mercer Co., he was a son of Joseph J. and Laura Terhune Ransdell. His wife, the former Agatha Mattingly of Mercer Co., preceded him in death 33 yeras ago. He was a member of theErlanger Methodist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Staudinger, Pompano Beach, FL; Mrs. Stuart (Anna Belle) Bush, Erlanger; and Mrs. T. J. (Beulah) Hopson, S. Ft. Mitchell; three sons, Arthur Ransdell, Union; John G. Ransdell, Erlanger; and Lee Ransdell, Ft. Mitchell; four brothers, Burnice Randsell, Lexington; Harvey Ransdell, Bohon, J. Lee Ransdell, Indianapolis, IN; and Hugh T. Ransdell, Dayton, OH; 23 grandcihldren and 17 great-grandchlidren. Burial in Highland Cemtery, Ft. Mitchell. He was buried at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Kenton County, Kentucky.
