Services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the funeral home at 209 South Main Street by the Rev. Ned E. Weller, pastor of Picture Rocks Methodist Church. Burial will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening.

Snider, 67 of 1338 Reed Street, Grinnell, died Saturday Aug. 6, at the Grinnell General Hospital.
The body was cremated with a private memorial service to be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. A Ralph Snider Memorial fund has been established, and friends may call the Smith funeral home for additional information.
The son of Ralph A. and Narissa Green Snider he was born June 24, 1916 at Oak Park, Illinois. He graduated from Sioux Central high school in 1934 and for a brief time worked at the Civilian Conservation Co-ops.
He was married to Elizabeth Thayer on Dec. 30,1935, at Newton. The couple lived in Washington, D.C. where he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. During World War II, Mr. Snider served with the 26 infantry in the European, Middle East and African theaters. Following his discharge from the service, he continued to work for the Postal Service, transferring to the Grinnell post office in 1947. He served as carrier clerk retiring in 1975 as assistant postmaster.
Survivors include his wife Betty; two daughters, Virginia E. McKean of Grinnell and Patricia Wooters of Long Lake, Minnesota; four grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Snider of Pensacola, Florida and Norman Snider of Muscatine and one sister Lauretta Cashman of Phoenix, Arizona.

Gladys A. Lund, 93, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Barnum, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien.

She was born on March 20, 1909 in Haney Twp. Crawford Co., to Wilfred and Laura (Reynolds) Snodgrass.

She was a member of Steuben Congregational Church and Ladies group.

She is survived by two daughters, Tanda Featherston of Prairie du Chien, Lola (Ray) Childs of Prairie du Chien; a son, William (Mary) Lund Jr. of Barnum, 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Emma Snodgrass of Boscobel, Ann Snodgrass of Decatur, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Lund Sr., a son Clyde Lund, five grandchildren and four brothers.

Services were held Monday, April 8, at Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel with Pastor Ruth Ann Krymkowski, and Pastor Stuart Allen officiating. Burial was at the Haney Ridge Cemetery. Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel assisted the family.
