Thomas J. Stockton , 74, of Waldron died Monday, June 25, 2007, in his home. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, managed F.W. Woolworth and Woolco Stores, owned Jay’s Discount in Fayetteville, Farmington and Alma.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Square Rock Cemetery in Waldron.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; three daughters, Teri Ramirez and Donna Jones, both of Fort Smith, and Melinda Watson of Baroda, Mich; two sons, Larry Stockton of London, England, and Patrick Stockton of Waldron; a sister, Orpha Bell of Duncan, Ariz; three brothers. Gerald Stockton of Springdale, Larry Stockton of Ft. Scott, Kan., and Kevin Stockton of San Antonio; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher and Nathan Ramirez, Joshua and Matthew Jones, Harold Burt and Larry Stockton Jr.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Thomas J. Stockton, 74, of Waldron, Arkansas died in his home on June 25, 2007. He was born July 6, 1932 to Gerald M. and Fern (Schaefer) Stockton in Stanbury, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia Redeker of Olpe, KS. Tom proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the F.W. Woolworth Company for 19 years, managing both Woolworth and Woolco Stores. He owned and operated Tee Jay's Discount in Fayetteville, Farmington and Alma for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of the home. He was the proud father of five children, Teri Ramirez and her husband Daniel of Ft. Smith, Larry "Randy" Stockton and his partner Iris Aquilina of London, England, Melinda Watson and her husband Brett of Baroda, MI, Patrick of the home and Donna Jones and her husband Don of Ft. Smith. He was the grandfather of 16 grandchildren, Christopher Ramirez, Sarah Ramirez Bravo and Nathan Ramirez all of Ft. Smith, AR, Heather Stockton Ward and Larry R. Stockton, Jr. both of Benton, MS, Tabitha Stockton of England, Thomas Stockton of South Africa, Lucy Bailey, Abigail Bailey, Lance Bailey and James Anderson all of England, Krysten Watson of Baroda, MI, Rhiannon Stockton of Farmington, AR, Joshua Jones, Matthew Jones and Lindsey Jones all of Ft. Smith, AR. He was the great grandfather of 14, Tommy Bravo, Alora Ramirez-Rice, Zachary Jones, Benjamin Jones, Damien Jones, Kianna Jones, Bethany Ward, Gracie Ward, Kaya Stockton, Rebe Stockton, Sasha Bailey, George Foster, Jacob Foster and Leon Bailey. He is also survived by brothers, Gerald Stockton and wife Wilma of Springdale, AR, Larry Stockton and wife Carol of Ft. Scott, KS and Kevin Stockton of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Orpha Bell and husband Jim of Duncan, AZ and brother-in-law, Lou Redeker of Olpe, KS. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Square Rock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Ramirez, Nathan Ramirez, Josh Jones, Matthew Jones, Larry Stockton, Jr. and Harold Burt.
He was buried at Square Rock Cemetery, Waldron, Scott County, Arkansas.
