WILLIAM WHITTLE

Services for William Whittle, who died Wednesday in Florida, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from Schahl Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski. The Rev. Carroll Flewelling will officiate and burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.

He was born Oct. 9, 1876, near Cornland, son of William and Sarah Scroggin Whittle. He married Leila Pierce Nov. 8, 1899, and she died in 1953.

Surviving are two sons, John, Decatur; William, Jr., Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Mae Bush, Chicago; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren. He was a member of the Cornland Masonic lodge.



He was buried at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski, Logan County, Illinois.
