On 1657 was one of the original Proprietors in New Utrecth and built the first stone house in the town, which also had a tile roof, and was still standing until 1850, when it was destroyed.
He was commissioned City Schout of New Amsterdam in 1657. He was Burgomeister of Arnheim. He died b 1674 at New Utrecht, Kings County, New York. Was Advocate to the Court of Holland; Captain in the service of the States General; was afterwards first High Council, a Fiscal in New Netherlands.

Rose Marie Moorman, a longtime resident of Los Lunas, was born in Pawnee City, Neb., on October 25, 1920. She passed away Thursday, May 18.
She faithfully attended the First Assembly of God Church in Los Lunas, started by her father, John A. DeWeber, who pastored there for over 40 years, followed by her brother, Bill who pastored there for 15 years. Rose Marie helped in the church wherever she was needed; teaching the children, cleaning, secretarial needs and any other duties that arose. In addition to her church duties, she worked at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training Schools for many years.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Mary Ann Botkin; her son, Ricky, and her grandson, Billy Williams.
She leaves behind her son, David Lee Moorman and wife Willie; daughter, Pauline Parker and husband, Preston; two brothers, Dewey DeWeber and wife, Lanell, and Billy DeWeber; three sisters, Martha Lingle and husband, Daniel, Delcie Taylor, Julia Hobbs and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Tammy and husband, Phillip, Ginger, Wesley and wife, Connie, Becky, Diane, Jenny and husband, Shawn; several great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her.
Services and visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church off Los Lentes Road in Los Lunas on Friday, May 26. A visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. The burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque.
