HOLLAND TWP. -- Charles W. Conover died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. He was 89.
Born in Newark, he was the son of George C. and Nellie E. Walton Conover. He lived in Holland Township since 1973. He previously lived in High Bridge.
Mr. Conover was a graduate of Seton Hall High School in Newark.
Mr. Conover was a salesman for Taylor Wharton in High Bridge for 25 years. He then worked for Fort Pitt Steel for 20 years. He retired as a sales manager from Quaker Alloy at age 72.
Mr. Conover enjoyed traveling with his wife. Together they visited all 50 states and many foreign countries. He also enjoyed golf.
His wife, Frances, died in 2002. His brother, Ross Conover, also died previously.
Surviving are one son, Neal of Belvidere; two daughters, Candice Eick of Washington and Patricia Frenchko of Bethlehem, Pa; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Clinton.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
