Mar. 1725. He was the son of Jacob Willemse Van Kouwenhoven and Sara Schenck. Matthias W. Conover married Williampe Covenhoven, daughter of William Covenhoven and Jannetje Wyckoff, on 27. Jul. 1749.

In his will dated Oct 8, 1765, Matthias Covenhoven of Middletown, NJ, mentioned his wife Williampe; his sons William, Mathias, Jacob, and Peter; and his daughters Sarah, Jane, Williampe, and Ann. The executors were Daniel, son of John Hendrickson, decease, "my sister's son", and Cornelius Covenhoven, son of William Covenhoven, deceased. It was witnessed by Cornelius Luyster, Joseph Golden, and Richard Stillwell. Matthias W. Conover died on 22. Oct. 1765 at age 40. He was buried c 23. Oct. 1765 at Golden burial ground, Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The inventory was taken on Oct 25, 1765 by Joseph Golden and Richard Crawford, amounted to £1,254:5:0. His estate was proved on 23. Apr. 1766.
