He was a crane operator for heavy construction and had lived in Mineral Wells for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Baptist. From the FT. WORTH STAR TELEGRAM Dec 27, 1993 issue. CLIFFORD A. GLOVER MINERAL WELLS - Clifford aubrey Glover, A construction cran operator, died Friday a a Mineral Wells hospital. He was 70. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Burial will be in Willow Pond Cemetery. Mr. Glover was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a longtime Palo Pinto County resident. He was Baptist. Survivors: Wife, Doris Glover of Mineral Wells, daughter, Andrea Taylor of Euless; son, Michael Glover of Mineral Wells, four brothers, Carl Glover of Garner, Oliver Glover of Weatherford, J. B. Glover of Ft. Worth and Billy Glover of California, two sisters, Drucilla Newberry and Lorene Newberry, both of Mineral Wells; and seven grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sue; a son Michael of Mineral Wells, a daughter, Andrea Taylor and husband Stephen of Euless; 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons; 4 bothers; 2 sisters; and relatives from the Clyde area; Cecil and Bertie Harless, Bill and Wanda Medley, Doug and Johanna May; and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial was in Willow Pond Cemetery, Palo Pinto County, TExas, officated by his son, Mike Glover.

JANESVILLE - Otis L. Gobin, age 81, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Center. He was born Nov. 11, 1924, in the town of Excelsior in Grant County, to Len and Stella Gobin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia, whom he married on June 15, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. Otis was employed at Borg Fabric for many years and retired from UW-Whitewater in 1986 after 17 years in the Maintenance Department. He had a strong love for his faithful dog, Babe. He had a fondness for his grandchildren and enjoyed trips to the casino in Dubuque. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Otis is survived by his three children, Reginald (Marsha) Gobin, Jeanine (Tom) Haight and Pamela (Michael) DuBois. He will be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren, Justine DeFries, Michael Fuerbringer, Heath Ransom, Ray Gobin, Chris Gobin, Kyle Ransom and Lucas Ransom; and his five great-grandchildren, Amanda Schmatzhagen, Sarah Schmatzhagen, Taylor Gable, Emily Lee and Peyton Gobin. He is preceded in death by his parents; his four sisters, Cleo Adams, Dorothy Smith, Belva Felten and Wava Abrams; and a brother, Burl Gobin. Funeral Services will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville. of the United States in the Civil war, and was honorably discharged at
Philadelphia, Pa, on the 25th day of September 1865. Was put on the receiving
ship North Carolina at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, sent to West gulf squadron, put
on board receiving ship Fear Not. then to gun boat Fort Gaines. Personal
description: height: 5 ft 6 3/4 inches; complexion, light; color of eyes,
light; color of hiar, light, that his occupation was laborer; that he was born
February 7th, 1843, at near Manasquan, Monmouth County, NJ. Several places of
residence since leaving the service have been as follows: Point Pleasant and
