Russell John Grieb was born on 4. Jan. 1933 at Helena, Lewis and Clark County, Montana. He was the son of
George Grieb and

Harry Gearhart and

GRIEB, Russell John
(age 72) - entered into rest on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Spokane. He was born to George and Jeanette Grieb on January 4, 1933 in Helena Montana. He attended grade school in Montana. He moved to Spokane with his family and started at Rogers High School as a freshman. At Rogers he excelled in many sports. He espe cially enjoyed football, baseball and the shot-put in track. He attended Eastern Washington University while working at Albertsons and bartending in Cheney. He was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. in his early years. Later he joined Fruehauf Trailer Corp. where he transferred to Santa Rosa California, Salt Lake City, Utah and Detroit, Michigan as National Used Trailer Manager for Fruehauf. In 1970 the family moved back to Spokane where Russ was Branch Manager for Fruehauf. He later went into business with his partner Dennis Klante selling and servicing, Comet, Great Dane and other truck trailers. They also had truck refrigeration with Thermo King. Russ suffered a stroke in 1985 and became disabled, but he continued some yard work and other interests and always has a positive and happy way. He leaves behind his loving wife Marilyn Grieb, daughter Jamie and Steve of Yakima, WA, son, Scott and Cindy of Crystal Lake, Illinois; grandchildren, Melanie and Mike Burns , Lindsay Sturgeon of Yakima, WA, Katie, Heather and Ben Grieb of Crystal Lake, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Miranda and Mason Burns of Yakima, WA: and James Harmon of Illinois. He is survived by his wonderful loving sister Eunice Bridges, brother Kenneth and Lois Grieb of Helena, Montana, brother, Richard and wife March Grieb of Great Falls, Montanan, numberous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by wonderful friends whom he was always so thankful for all their help over the years. Thank You for the loving care of the doctors and nurses at The Rockwood Clinic. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11:00 am at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
