(age 72) - entered into rest on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Spokane. He was born to George and Jeanette Grieb on January 4, 1933 in Helena Montana. He attended grade school in Montana. He moved to Spokane with his family and started at Rogers High School as a freshman. At Rogers he excelled in many sports. He espe cially enjoyed football, baseball and the shot-put in track. He attended Eastern Washington University while working at Albertsons and bartending in Cheney. He was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. in his early years. Later he joined Fruehauf Trailer Corp. where he transferred to Santa Rosa California, Salt Lake City, Utah and Detroit, Michigan as National Used Trailer Manager for Fruehauf. In 1970 the family moved back to Spokane where Russ was Branch Manager for Fruehauf. He later went into business with his partner Dennis Klante selling and servicing, Comet, Great Dane and other truck trailers. They also had truck refrigeration with Thermo King. Russ suffered a stroke in 1985 and became disabled, but he continued some yard work and other interests and always has a positive and happy way. He leaves behind his loving wife Marilyn Grieb, daughter Jamie and Steve of Yakima, WA, son, Scott and Cindy of Crystal Lake, Illinois; grandchildren, Melanie and Mike Burns , Lindsay Sturgeon of Yakima, WA, Katie, Heather and Ben Grieb of Crystal Lake, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Miranda and Mason Burns of Yakima, WA: and James Harmon of Illinois. He is survived by his wonderful loving sister Eunice Bridges, brother Kenneth and Lois Grieb of Helena, Montana, brother, Richard and wife March Grieb of Great Falls, Montanan, numberous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by wonderful friends whom he was always so thankful for all their help over the years. Thank You for the loving care of the doctors and nurses at The Rockwood Clinic. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11:00 am at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
Pastor Albert Reasoner of Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church
will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of

Dec. 1917 at Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey. Edgar Boileau Grier Jr. died on 17. Jun. 1952 at Berlin, Coos County, New Hampshire, at age 58. He was buried at Woodbridge, New Haven County, Connecticut. Edgar B. Grier Jr. grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He graduated from the Pingry School at the Central Baptist Church there, June 5, 1911. He served in the US Cavalry in the action against Pancho Villa. At the time of his marriage, in 1917, he was a lieutenant in the cavalry, stationed at Camp McClellan, Anniston, AL. The Griers moved to New Haven, Connecticut after Edgar got out of the service. They lived on Cleveland Road, near the Yale Bowl. Later they moved to a large house at 130 Davis Street in the suburb of Hamden. In the late 1930's, he owned a Cadillac LaSalle automobile which he was particularly proud of. Edgar worked as a stockbroker. On January 1, 1952 he was admitted as a general partner of the firm of Chas. W. Scranton in New Haven, Conn. He and his wife belonged to the New Haven Country Club.

She went to high school at the Grier School, a girls' boarding school in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, which was owned by her father's cousin, Tom Grier. During World War II, she worked as a drafter for A.C. Gilbert, a toy manufacturer in New Haven. She also worked for the Bell Telephone Company. After her children were grown, she did some substitute teaching in several school districts in the area. Later she worked at a private day care center and kindergarten in Syracuse. After she and her husband moved to Lake George, NY, she worked for a while as a bank teller for the Albany Savings Bank in Glens Falls. After Larry sold the Still Bay Motel, Isabel decided to live separately from him. She got an apartment in Glens Falls for a year or so, then found another apartment on a back street in the village of Lake George. She lived there until her death. During her years in the Lake George area, she was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church there. She was a member of the Vestry and Treasurer of the church. She did volunteer work at the Hyde Collection, an art gallery in Glens Falls. She liked gardening, particularly flower gardening. She belonged to a garden club, and traveled with them to the big tulip festival in Amsterdam, Holland. In her last few years she belonged to a hiking club for older people that took non-strenuous hikes in the Adirondack Mountains. By her request, her body was cremated. Her ashes were buried with a small stone in a cemetery near her Lake George apartment.
