     William Voorhees was baptized on 23 May 1738 at Dutch Reformed Church, Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was the son of Hendrick Voorhees and Sarah Schenck. William Voorhees and Catherine Hance obtained a marriage license on 5 July 1763. William Voorhees married Catherine Hance in 1763 at Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. On 9 June 1768 a notice to creditors was published in the NY Journal by William Voorhees and a number of other debtors imprisioned for debt in Monmouth County jail. Their application was made June 3. The creditors were to show cause on June 27 why the prisoners and estates should not e confiscated and their bodies discharged from their confinement.
William Voorhees died after 1794.

He was the son of Hendrick Voorhees and Sarah Schenck. Hendrick Voorhees was baptized on 15 June 1740 at Dutch Reformed Church, Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He married Jane Lesley on 26 March 1763. Hendrick Voorhees died on 12 November 1827 at Montgomery County, New York, at age 87.
