To son Joseph £200. To son Nathan £150. To son William clock and case. To daughter Elizabeth Mendenhall £50. To daughter Phebe £50 at 18. To son William £100. To son Adam £100. To son Stephen plantation I now live, during his stepmother's widowhood. After wife's decease, all remainder of estate real and personal to 9 children, Ann, wife of Caleb Peirce, Rebecca, wife of Caleb Way, John, Stephen, Robert, Elizabeth, William, Adam and Phebe Mendenhall. To Robert and Moses, sons of my son Moses, deceased, £10 each at 21. Executors: Sons John, Stephen and Robert. Will not signed. Annotation states will was written by himself, but not dated or signed. He was thrown from his carriage and badly hurt. Sent home for his will, but it could not be found.
He died on 23 June 1785 at Concord, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 71. He was buried at Delaware, Pennsylvania. His estate was proved on 2 July 1785.
