Joris Brinkerhoff removed to at York now Adams County, Pennsylvania, he settled on a tract of 520 acres in an area known as Conowago about four miles northeast of the present City of Gettysburg circa April 1770. He was elder, Dutch Reformed Church, Conewago, Adams County, PA. He died on 3 January 1810 at Adams County, Pennsylvania, at age 90.
